I went to girls camp last weekend with the young women out by Scofield Reservoir. It was so much fun. I have never been out to Scofield and it was awesome, so pretty and quiet. We didn't get to go boating or anything just camping at a nearby stake owned campground. My girls are great. I don't think I could ask for better ones. We had some girls who have never been camping before EVER! So that was an adventure-they had a lot to learn. This picture is of some of the girls just being goofy.

We are still here!
Hello! We are still here, everyone can stop worrying. ;) I do not have easy access to the internet anymore now that I got my new job. So I do not get a chance to update much. Let me catch you all up on us real quick: I work for Hoopes Vision as an ophthalmic technician, Tim is soon moving postitions to work for Dr. White for Invison. Tim is participating in his favorite activity...golfing... at this very minute. I just got finished playing my co-ed softfall game which we won and I got a softball size, purple, lump on my ankle-not to mention with thread shaped lines all over it. It was a great game. We have been busy looking for a home as our lease at Wasatch Club ends at the end of August. So to sum it all up we are doing well, hot, but well. Oh and this picture is my little bro Trevor taking me for a motorcycle ride. Lucky!

Graduation!!

As of May 2, 2008 Timothy Ryan Olsen is officially graduated from the University of Utah. He has received his Bachelor's degree with a major in Behavioral Health and Science and also obtained a minor in Sociology. It has been a long time coming and I am so proud of Tim for all of his hard work. Tim hopes to continue his education starting next year in the Master's program of Behavioral Science with a focus of Epidemiology or Health Statistics. Man, it sure feels good to be graduated. We almost don't know what to do with ourselves. While this big event was happening, I finally received my Associates degree from Salt Lake Community College. This is my second associates degree, and I think two Associates should equal a Bachelors...right?

I got a job
So after two weeks of being unemployed, I started my new job as an ophthalmic technician (same thing as before) at Hoopes Vision. The first few days were kind of hard-I have not had a job where I was on my feet ALL day since I was the lumber girl at Lowes Home Improvement. I mostly just followed people around so I could figure out how they did things at the new office. Now I can take patients back all by myself once again. I have noticed though, when the wife has a full time job; the house never seems to be very clean....weird. Thanks to Tim though, he has made the bed several times.

Who needs a job...really!?
Wouldn't it be nice if you could live in a place so careless and free? Not worrying about going to work the next day, getting all of your projects and quotas met, being free of workplace drama. If you didn't have to worry about pleasing your boss, or making sure everything you do is politically correct. Taking your meager lunch break (if any) that consists of a Nalgene and baggie of frosted mini-wheats. Sigh. Well, I thought that would be lovely....for half a day it was lovely and then reality sets in. It is very daunting not knowing how the bills will get paid or what will happen when our health insurance runs out at the end of the week, or even having nothing productive to do all day long! My goodness you can only work out so much in a day. The ice cream and leftover Costco triple chocolate-chocolate birthday cake seems to beckon. I guess I could always clean the bathroom again, 5 times in 4 days isn't bad right?
If you have not figured out, I am out of a job. I was working for an Ophthalmologist-and all of the sudden on my way out to my car the doc and office manager cornered me and said they aren't doing so well and need to cut back. I got cut back. I forget how awful and stressful it is to be on a job hunt, especially with the pressure to get a job right now. If anyone knows of someone hiring, please let me know! I may have already sent them my resume-I don't know many people that haven't gotten it this week. :)
Oh and GOOD LUCK everyone working on finals! You can do it, its almost over!

Makeover
I have been wondering how to make my blog cute like others I have seen-almost like a scrapbook page. And thanks to someone on Andrea's blog, I learned how. It looked super complicated but really the instructions were great for someone so computer illiterate as myself to understand. Thank you author of blog design instructions!
