Elisa's Baby Shower

The first week of March we threw a baby shower for Elisa Clark and her little one to be born in just a few weeks. Hooray! We had a good turnout and a lot of fun. It was at Spaghetti Mama's in one of their private rooms. My internet has been weird so it has taken me awhile to get the few pictures up that I took-so sorry for those of you that have been waiting for them. The picture above shows all that came...Crystal Childs, Lauren Doane, Eliza Smith, Elisa Clark, Taren Davis, Ali English , Ashley Hogensen, Kara Olsen, and Kjirsten Fox. 5 out of the 9 girls are pregnant so that was kind of ironic. Thanks to all that came and helped us out with it and thanks for being pregnant Elisa so we would have an excuse to get together and celebrate!!

My awesome friend Michelle Ridd makes fancy fondant cakes so in lieu of the baby shower she taught me how to make them the night before the shower. I will tell you what, they are not as easy as you would expect, but so so much fun! She was a fab ulous teacher and it was so fun learning and making it. The cake was made to match the nursery of baby Kole(you can see it on Elisa's blog). This was my first official cake-with lots of help-so hopefully I will be able to aquire all the equipment and tools to make one someday all by myself!
The next picture is of me and Michelle after we made the cake but the picture is tending to come and go funny and since I am the computer wizard I am, I don't know how to fix it, or take it off the post. Maybe someday I'll get the picture put on correctly :)

Valentines Day Celebration!

Oh Boy, I'll tell you what..I am so not on the ball with my posts. They are all at LEAST a week after the event and thats if we are lucky. In case you don't already know, I Love holidays. It doesn't matter if they are little tiny ones or the great big work off kind of holidays. So having Valentine's Day last week was a great thing. To kick off the celebration, Friday night we went to our friend's house and ate pizza and made heart-shaped sugar cookies. YUM!

Four of the five girls there are pregnant so we thought we better take a picture in order of due dates for the occasion. Elisa, Ali, Kara, Kjirsten. And just as well, we of course had to take a picture of the dad's as well. They are just in order by height. Josh (Taren had her baby 6 mo ago), Ben (Kjirsten), Tim (Kara), Scott (Ali), and Kade (Elisa).
Afterwards Tim and I went on down to our ward 'sock hop' Valentines Ball. We about doubled the number of people there. Just kidding. We were only there for the last hour maybe-but we had a great time. Believe it or not, Tim actually danced with me!! I'll have you know this is a momentous occasion! We met up with some of our friends in the ward Sean, Chalise, Jaylynn, and Andy.
the sock hop we of all things went bowling. It did turn out to be pretty fun. We got there about
midnight which is way past bedtime, good thing Tim and I had a nap after work. I did beat my best score with a 72! Hooray for me. Ha. It turned out to be a good pre-Valentines Day.
For Real Valentine's Day I made Tim a "Surprise" breakfast, which I do every year so its not really a surprise. Tim does a great job at acting surprised for me though. We went baby shopping for the first time-it was so fun, and then went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner with some of our other friends Jeff and Chelsea. What a great way to spend the weekend if I say so myself. Thanks everybody for helping to make it so fun!

We made it to State!

Go Team! This picture is of Madison and I at the High School Region Drill Competition.

Do you remember the days in high
school when it was sooo important and awesome to make it to the state championships? Well it is still pretty cool when your alumni high school makes it too. I went to Alta and ya, the football team won state, but even cooler is that the Drill team also made it to state. I mostly care because Madison my sister is on the drill team. I went to the region competition at Brighton High School and it was so much fun! I love love love watching dancing-it makes me a little jealous that I am not the one out there, but if I can't do it, I'm okay to watch it. The picture is of the girls celebrating after they were announced as a finalist, the other is of an awesome dance with way cool kick lines! (I am just figuring out how to use our new camera, the action photos were such a pain!)

OK, here we go...

Lets make it official,

the time has come...
We have an anouncement
and a very special one!
Twelve weeks have passed
thats almost three months,
then in July at last...
Our baby will come!

Hooray! Tim and I have been anxiously awaiting the time when we can expect a new addition to the family.

We figured 12 weeks was a good time to show you all how much we have grown together.

Snowshoeing!

Last Saturday I went snowshoeing with my dad and uncle Tyler who is visiting from Chicago for Christmas. We went along the Bonneville shoreline trail, the other direction from last time. We hiked around the new Draper temple and the South Mountain area. It was so pretty, but man it was hard work! I have forgotten how much of a workout snowshoeing is. But thats okay, I am always up for an outdoor adventure.
This is dad. He is the pro at all outdoor excursions.

Cool nest I found. I think it is the nest of a hawk or something cool like that. Underneath the nest there was a deer nest but I couldnt get it all in the same photo.

Annual Girls Night Out 2008

Every Christmas since 8th grade we have all gone to dinner and temple square for the annual "Girls Night Out" it is pretty much the only time I see some of the girls so it is a great event. Jennifer Wheatley is the arranger (what is the real word for that?) and sets the whole thing up for us. Thank you! The girls that came this year starting from the top left are Brooke (Bonham) Miller, Amber (haslam) Gray, Mariah (beesley) Barker, Jessica Lamph, me Kara (fugate) Olsen, Taren (smith) Davis, Lora Hudson, Jennifer Wheatley, and Nikki Garfield.
Jennifer is a professional photographer so she takes all the pictures or sets the pictures up so they all look good. Temple Square is so pretty at Christmas time with all the lights. It was actually featured on a t.v. show that talked about the top 10 decorated Christmas locations! Cool huh...and it wasn't even a Utah created show! Go Temple Square.

Weird picture I know. Some of the girls wanted to do a picture of all them as a group of the single girls, so we thought it would be fun to do a picture of all the married girls . Three of them have kids...can you guess who?

My HaiR!!!

Oh and P.S. I dyed my hair Brown!! I thought I would try it out and see how it felt to be a brunette. I have never crossed these waters before and it is kind of fun-a good and fun change. I did it the beginning of November and since I do it myself I have tried out all kinds of fun red, chocolate, strawberry, and caramel hues. Super fun for me. I'm pretty sure blondes still have more fun though!
